![]() These situations include approaching her crush, trouble-choosing between her love interests, when in contact with a really big celebrity if she thinks others do greater success compared to herself or losing something that will expose her secret identity. In a situation, she deems urgent, she becomes very nervous, clumsy, a bit awkward, and quick to panic. She used to be even more very nervous and didn't oppose others, but her confidence grew considerably since she became Ladybug. Despite being genuinely kind, she has her limits, such as when she gets irritated with Chloé Bourgeois to the point that she refuses to continue guarding her against the Evillustrator as Ladybug.ĭespite her outgoing and empathetic personality, Marinette struggles with self-confidence and self-esteem. ![]() She cares deeply for other people, usually putting their feelings and interests even before her own, in some cases at a personal cost. ![]() According to Clara Nightingale, Marinette has a pure heart. She is very helpful as she was willing to help those who have insecurities such as Juleka Couffaine who thought she had a "class photo curse" and Marc Anciel who was too afraid to share his creative writing. Marinette is a sweet, outgoing and joyful girl who loves fashion, her friends, family and Adrien Agreste (Marinette's crush) where Adrien describes her as honest, kind, fair and the type not to cheat. I don't mean harm.Marinette Dupain-Cheng is the overall main protagonist in Miraculous Ladybug (being she is one of main titular protagonists, the other is Adrien Agreste/Cat Noir). I'm just sharing my opinion on a character. Please don't take this down, and please don't send hate. Yet no one I know seems to think that Marinette's actions weren't justified. In season 1 I loved her.Ĭharacters like this (Lapis in Steven Universe, Mabel in Gravity Falls) each have their own percent of haters in their communities. She's akumatized a good number of people now, she's been evil to people and then gave nothing but an apology for it, yet she's still universally loved. These recent episodes just left me wishing that Adrien would get over Ladybug. Her one personality trait.Īdrien didn't show up, sure, but that doesn't justify evil behavior! In the episode Glaciator, Marinette destroyed someone's self confidence and business, for what? Oh yeah, for her unbearable crush on Adrien. ![]() Lila had the right to still be mad but Marinette did show she was sorry.īut this is where Marinette's character really became unbearable to me. She stole Adrien's phone from his locker.Īlthough I let that slide, because Marinette sincerely apologized in the end. Making someone cry, especially if mostly she just liked a boy that you did, is wrong! She came up and yelled in her face for a terrible reason!Īnd if you look at the 'stole a book' side, Marinette has stolen things before. Her interactions with other characters and her personality in the new season makes me really annoyed.įirst of all, in the episode Volpina, Marinette literally makes a girl cry as a superhero that the girl looks up to because she She's all around loved, and shipped, by and with everyone.Īlthough she's known as a really sweet character all around, her portrayal in the newest season 2 episodes make me overall frustrated with the character. Marinette is the main character of Miraculous. ![]()
